Refugees Find Hope in Thailand

This photo shows children wearing the traditional Burmese sunscreen made from ground bark called thanaka. More than 90,000 refugees who have fled the war in Myanmar (formerly Burma) live in camps along the Thai border. Although the situation there is painful, I received  this encouraging email a few weeks ago from a teacher working with these refugees. He downloads our free Light of the World curriculum to use in his classes and writes:

“We find your materials to be a very helpful resource and blessing in advancing the gospel in Thailand.  We use the LOTW content primarily to teach free classes to predominantly Myanmar people in our town and beyond.  This helps us to begin building relationships and share our lives and the gospel with those whom we are seeking to reach.  It is a tangible and practical way we can help them develop a skill that will help them potentially acquire better job options than the ones they are currently able to get.  It is also a way for us to love them practically in deed as well as word.  We thank you greatly for all the work that you do in assisting many to advance the gospel and are extremely grateful for the resources.”
