Pastor Angel, his wife Noira, and their two little boys moved from Bolivia to Florida in 2022 to plant a church in Palm Beach County. They want to serve the Hispanic community in their new home, so Angel completed our online ESL teacher training course earlier this year. However, it was difficult to recruit students initially. He was getting discouraged that no one responded to his invitation to join the ESL class.
Then Angel wrote to me a few weeks ago: “I want to share with you, I am so excited because I recently started to teach English through the Bible!! After the training, I was frustrated because nobody accepted my invitation! But God had his plans. I am a tutor for three families right now, two from Colombia and one from Nicaragua, the last ones are not believers, and I am so happy to use this material!!! I am going to their houses for the class. It was the best strategy I found. Thanks for the training, it is a huge blessing for many people. God bless you abundantly!”
Noira also teaches Spanish literacy to young mothers in the community. Their literacy and language classes provide practical skills as they share God’s love with new immigrants.
