Tanya is David’s teacher. She lives in California in the USA. She is currently teaching three ESL students and a literacy student. She likes to tutor because “I enjoy getting to know, inspire, encourage, and equip people on their journey.” She would like prayers for doors to open for more people to come to know Jesus as LORD and Savior and for His ministry in the gift of literacy.
David is from Togo, a French-speaking country in West Africa. When he moved to the USA in 2022, he needed to improve his English. Working online with his tutor, Tanya, David has improved his English greatly. Using the LOTW materials has helped him with his English pronunciation and fluency. He has also passed his driver’s license test in English. Now David often returns to Togo and other parts of Francophone Africa to conduct Teacher Training Workshops to help churches teach literacy and ESL in their communities.
