Slava (top right) and his wife, Tanya (top center) are pictured here with their daughter and grandchildren. They have moved from Ukraine to Oklahoma, USA and are learning English with the Light of the World materials. Slava and Tanya’s journey in English studies has been challenging and joyous. They are working with their teacher online and have progressed from the first lesson to the second level of LOTW. Because of their hard work and perseverance, they are now able to communicate more about their lives using full sentences.
Their improving English skills are also helping them to get settled in their new country. Slava has acquired a driver’s license, a car, and a job at Walmart’s digital services. Recently he drove Tanya to a Slavic church while listening to English Christian music on the radio. Even though they could only recognize one word in the songs, it was the most important one: Jesus! Praise God for His goodness.
